Support and Services

SEEAC is providing the following essential support and services to members of Southeast and East Asian migrant communities to enable them to improve their well-being and livelihoods and enjoy their human rights.

  • Community hub – Through the Community hub project, SEEAC is providing community support group activities, signposting services, social welfare and employment advice, and one-on-one mental health counselling services for members of the ESEA community whose mental well-being was affected by various socio-economic and health factors, including survivors of trafficking and domestic abuse.

  • Mental Health Counselling – SEEAC has a Mental Health Directory where you can find other cultural-specific / language-specific mental health service providers for Southeast and East Asian communities in the UK. The listed service providers include peer support groups, mutual aid groups, community groups, and more specialist/professional mental health support, such as therapists.

  • Hate crime reporting or Identity based hate – SEEAC supports On Your Side, a new UK-wide support and reporting service for anyone in the UK who identifies as East and Southeast Asian who has experienced racism or any form of hate.

We also have a Hate crime hub, where we collated an information guide on Hate crime and Hate incident, Hate crime statistics in the UK, a directory where you can report a Hate crime, and Mental Health resources for victims of Hate crime. Downloadable resources related to Hate crime are also available.

  • Improving employability and employment rights advice – SEEAC provides workshops on CV writing and job interviews to empower and support migrant workers. We also run an employment advise clinic to provide information and advise on employment rights or any concerns on migrants’ employment in the UK.
