Southeast and East Asian Centre (SEEAC)
is a community organisation run by and for migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers from Southeast and East Asia, as well as people of these heritages living in the UK.
We provide support and advocacy for individuals and communities experiencing challenges related to welfare, immigration, employment, healthcare, racism, mental health, and gender-based violence.

Our Vision
Organisational Status
Southeast and East Asian communities in the UK are diverse, with heritage spanning countries and regions such as Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, East Timor, Brunei, the Philippines, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, North and South Korea, and Japan.
While we celebrate this diversity, many community members share experiences of marginalisation, including being racialised as the “Asian Other” in the UK context
SEEAC works with some of the most under-represented groups within these communities, ensuring that support and advocacy reach those most in need.
Our mission is to build a society where members of Southeast and East Asian communities in the UK can live free from social exclusion, discrimination, exploitation, and poverty.
We strive to create opportunities for everyone to thrive and contribute positively to wider British society.
Systemic Change: Fair, inclusive policies for all stages of migration.
Inclusive Society: Celebrating ESEA cultures, identities, and contributions.
Equality and Rights: Empowering individuals to know and assert their rights.
Livelihood and Mobility: Creating pathways to economic opportunity and social advancement.
SEEAC strives to work to make our society where:
Southeast and East Asian migrants and their communities are equal members of the UK society and enjoy improved livelihoods and social mobility.
SEEAC is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) by guarantee, committed to serving and empowering Southeast and East Asian communities in the UK.
