Southeast and East Asia Community Hub - Phase 2

Following the success of our Community Hub project in 2021 – 2022, which benefits more than 1,000 ESEA community members in the UK through one-on-one mental health counselling services, mental health awareness campaign, community support group activities, signposting services, and support from volunteers, SEEAC is continuing the project until the end of 2023. This continuation has been made possible through our collaboration with the End Violence and Racism Against ESEA Communities (EVR), an intergenerational anti-racism campaign group based in the UK. The second phase project enables SEEAC to continue responding to requests for advice or counselling from ESEA communities in London and beyond, who face anxiety and other mental health concerns due to multiple factors that affect ESEA communities such as the socio-economic impact of Covid-19, the cost of living crisis, immigration and discrimination.

Similar to the first phase of this project, the Community Hub Phase II project will continue to strengthen the East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) communities' resilience amidst the ongoing impacts of the pandemic and other socio-economic struggles that marginalised communities face in the UK. Through the project, SEEAC will provide social welfare and mental health advice, a referral system to support the ESEA community's needs, one-on-one mental health counselling services, and support group activities for sharing and caring. We also anticipate increasing volunteers helping the ESEA communities in London through our actions.

We welcome all ESEA community members in the UK to participate in and benefit from this project by contacting us through email at info@seeac.org.uk, phone at +447376408975 and follow our Facebook and Instagram pages for future group support activities.
