Celebrating Culture and Community
We celebrate the diverse cultures, identities, and contributions of Southeast and East Asian communities in the UK. We foster caring spaces of belonging for people to come together, and cultivate a positive vision for an inclusive society.
We do this through:
ESEA Culture Festival
We have proudly taken part in the ESEA Culture Festival, and hosted it in 2025. The festival is a vibrant gathering honouring how East and Southeast Asian cultures have taken root and flourished in the UK. Our most recent 2025 edition “Homegrown: Celebrating ESEA Heritage, Wellness & Community” celebrated soulful food, creative voices and performances, and wellness and mindfulness activities. Through food passed down, arts reinvented, and communities built with care and pride, Homegrown honours the stories, traditions, and resilience that shape us. Keep an eye out for this year’s festival – don't miss our announcement by signing up to our newsletter and follow us on social media on the latest!
Community Hub
Since 2021, SEEAC has run the Community Hub project to support individual and community wellbeing. Initially initiated in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the project aimed to strengthen Southeast and East Asian communities' resilience. Through the programme, we offer free counselling, mental health and emotional wellbeing support for individuals, and organise community activities, events and workshops to create safe and healing spaces for people to come together, whether through yoga, art therapy, nature walks, and more. You can find out more about our mental health support here, or find out about upcoming activities on our social media or by joining our newsletter.
Grassroots community collaborations
SEEAC works closely with grassroots partners to strengthen community-led support and collective action. We collaborate with groups including INDUK, United Domestic Workers Association (UDWA), and Kolektif ASEA to co-deliver workshops, events, and outreach rooted in lived experience. Alongside this, we maintain shared office space and referral pathways with organisations such as Kanlungan Filipino Consortium and Bahay Kubo, as well as wider networks including SEEAWA and ESAS. These collaborations allow us to respond more effectively to community needs, ensure individuals can access culturally appropriate support, while enjoying and celebrating caring communities.
