Voice and Participation of Impacted Communities in Processes of Change: A Joint Learning Initiative
The Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women International Secretariat (GAATW IS) has received funding from Porticus Foundation to work with migrants' rights and anti-trafficking organisations in Southeast and East Asia and Europe on a collaborative learning initiative. Its social change goal is to empower migrant workers, trafficked persons and other impacted communities to become partners in the process of change rather than merely beneficiaries of projects.
SEEAC shares in its participatory rationale, objective, and goals of this project with colleagues whose work with migrants and/or trafficked persons we know and have great regard for. For this learning journey, SEEAC has chosen to work with the Vietnamese migrant community for its proposed project.
You may find more information about this project on the GAATW website.
SEEAC also published a thematic paper with GAATW entitled "We Are 'On Your Side'"
